Breakfast with the Birds Homecoming Open House
The Department of Biological Sciences is hosting Breakfast with the Birds for our alumni and friends at Homecoming! This is a great opportunity to enjoy breakfast and explore our new Kent Campus aviary.
Other Requirements and Expectations
- Trainings/Meetings - Attend and complete all required training as determined by supervisors and University Housing.
Minimum Qualifications
- GPA Requirement - At least a 2.50 current and cumulative GPA for undergraduate students and a 3.00 current and cumulative GPA for graduate students at the time of application and throughout the employment period.
- Not on sanction by the Office of Student Conduct and able to pass a background check.
- 18 years or older by July 1 for fall employment or by Jan. 1 for spring employment; registered student at Kent State University.
- Abide by the hourly work week limit of 28 hours maximum per week in all on-campus jobs combined.
Listen Like You Mean It: Active Listening in Action (BC= .5 hr)
Join us for a lively, hands-on session where we’ll explore what it really means to listen with intention from body language and tone of voice (paraverbals) to the power of paraphrasing and summarizing. Through interactive practice and real-world scenarios, you’ll learn how to tune in, respond thoughtfully, and build trust and connections.
