When is Homecoming 2025?
Saturday, October 11. There will be events happening throughout the week. For a full list of events happening that day and the week leading up to it, please view our calendar of events.
Where can I park on campus?
Most parking on campus is free except for Dix Stadium. Parking is first come, first served.
Parade Parking: All parking lots surrounding the Kent Student Center are free and open to the public on Saturday. Portions of Summit Street and Loop Road will be closed from 10 a.m. throughout the duration of the parade, so please plan accordingly. View the parade parking map.
Football Parking: Limited parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at Dix Stadium for $10 per car, cash only. Portions of Summit Street may be closed as early as 12:30 p.m., so please plan accordingly. View the football parking map.
Shuttles will be running directly between the Kent Student Center and Dix Stadium at the conclusion of the parade. Fans may park in any of the campus lots along Summit Street for free. Fans can also safely walk along the Portage Hike and Bike Trail.
What are the dining options available?
There are many dining options available. Please visit the Dining Services page to view hours of operation. Please note the Student Center is the only on campus dining location to accept cash. There are also downtown dining options.

Where can I watch the parade?
Start your day with coffee and a spirited morning on the Student Green outside the Kent Student Center as the Homecoming Parade debuts its brand-new route down Summit Street! For the first time, the parade will kick off near the Ice Arena and proceed down Loop Road and Summit Street, bringing the heart of campus to life with floats, musical performances and Golden Flash pride. Can’t make it in person? Catch all the excitement via livestream!
Are there tickets for Homecoming?
Homecoming is free and open to the public. General admission tickets for the Homecoming football game are available for purchase at the Dix Stadium Box Office or online. General admission tickets are $25.
Do I need a ticket for the Flash Nation Tailgate?
The Flash Nation Tailgate is complimentary.

How can I purchase tickets for the football game?

What should I wear for Homecoming weekend?
Wear your Kent State blue and gold gear. The football team will be wearing their Powder Blue uniforms for this game. Homecoming is hosted rain or shine so make sure you dress for the weather.
