
Michael Bell, Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Michael Bell serves as the Assistant Dean of Assessment and Accreditation at the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Kent State University. In this role since 2023, he oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assessment and accreditation initiatives across the college and related educator preparation programs. His duties include ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, developing assessment tools with faculty to enhance academic quality, and coordinating data collection and analysis efforts. Dr. Bell ensures that program offerings continually meet the highest standards of educational excellence and regulatory compliance.
He is a proud alumnus of Kent State University, earning his Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from KSU in 2019. Prior to that, he completed his Master of Business Administration with a focus on Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Education, both from the University of Akron.
Dr. Bell is an active contributor to the academic community at Kent State University and beyond. He is a co-chair of the EHHS Data Team, a member of the University’s Advisory Committee for Academic Assessment, and works with other key groups focusing on curriculum and student success metrics.
