Biography
Kristin Bechter is a seasoned higher education professional with 20 years of experience. She has dedicated her career to empowering students and institutions to succeed. In her new role as Director, of College Credit Plus, Policy and Data Management, she leverages her expertise in academic advising, admissions, and dual enrollment to drive student success. Married with two children, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially attending her kids' sporting events, and balancing her professional and personal life with dedication and passion.
As Director for College Credit Plus, Policy, and Data Management, Kristin directs and coordinates all operational, administrative, and reporting activities for the dual enrollment program. She provides strategic leadership on policy, processes, and data management, collaborating on system-wide efforts to streamline and enhance the program. Additionally, Kristin oversees policy development, manages data alignment across the university's eight-campus system, and serves as a liaison with the state and various constituent groups to ensure compliance and program effectiveness.
With 15 years at Kent State University and a total of 20 years in higher education, she has a robust background in academic advising and program management. As the Director, of College Credit Plus, Policy and Data Management at Kent State University, she leads all operational, administrative, and reporting activities for the dual enrollment program. Previously, Kristin advised over 300 students in Kent State's Exploratory Advising Center and managed various academic programs. Her experience also includes roles at The Ohio State University and The University of Akron, where she provided comprehensive advising services and supported recruitment efforts.
