Biography

Keiran Dunne holds a Ph.D. in French Civilization from The Pennsylvania State University, as well as a D.E.A. from the Université des Sciences Humaines de Strasbourg and a maîtrise from the Université de Haute-Bretagne/Rennes II in France. He has extensive experience as a localization subcontractor for Fortune 500 companies and other corporate clients, and draws upon this experience in his courses. His primary research interests are software and website localization; translation and localization project management; quality management, risk management and terminology management in translation and localization projects; and twentieth-century French cultural history. He is the editor of the collective volume, Perspectives on Localization, the co-editor of the collective volume Translation and Localization Project Management: The Art of the Possible, and is currently working on a computer-assisted translation and localization textbook. He is a member of the American Translators Association, IEEE, The Institute of Localisation Professionals and the Project Management Institute.
