This is Me

About Me

I was born and raised in Bolivia. After high school I decided I wanted to study in the United States, so I embarked in the most thrilling experience of my young adult life when I came here. I hold a BA in Communication Studies from Hiram College and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University. I have lived in northeast Ohio for the past 20 years; this is my home away from home. I have been working at Kent State University professionally for 13 years, starting in academic advising and then moving into my current role in the Office of Global Education. I love working with students, especially helping them find the right program abroad for them, so that they too can experience a world beyond their borders.

What I Love About Kent State

I love that we are a community at Kent State. There are so many things for students, faculty and staff to get involved with. I also love that we have many different types of education abroad programs to offer our students.

Fun Facts

I have visited countries in almost every continent except Oceania and Antarctica. It is my goal to visit them all one day! I love to travel with my family because we get to try new foods and learn about new cultures.
