Creating Accessible Documents

Creating documents in a way that makes them accessible to users with disabilities is critical to the learning experience. Your documents can be read and understood more effectively when the information in them is made accessible for everyone.

  • Start here if you want to learn the basics of how to create accessible documents, and how to check your own documents to ensure that they’re accessible using built-in document accessibility checkers.

  • PDFs are one of the most common forms of document on our website and in our courses, but they can also be one of the hardest to make accessible. Learn some advanced tips and tricks to making your PDFs accessible.

  • Review this resource section to get help with whatever kind of document you’re trying to make accessible, whether it’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, InDesign, or others.
