Visit the CARES Food Pantry

The CARES Center Food Pantry is located in the CARES Center in Suite 106 of the Kent Student Center.  

Students must complete the CARES Center Food Pantry Agreement Form once per semester. Students can visit the CARES Center Pantry once a month. 

  • Traditional Pantry: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, noon to 4 p.m., no reservation needed. Supplies are limited. 
  • During the summer 2026 semester, the pantry will be closed on the following dates:
    • May 25th - 29th
    • June 19th
    • July 4th

Pantry Guidelines

The CARES Center Food Pantry provides access to nutritious food for students who can't afford to buy groceries. Please take a moment to complete the Pantry Request Form and Agreement. Due to a significant increase in reservation requests and to ensure access to students most in need, priority will be given to first-time visitors. 
CARES Center Food Pantry Guidelines

  • Students must complete the Pantry Request Form and Agreement before visiting the CARES Center Pantry. 
  • Students can visit the pantry once a month. 
  • Students must be registered in at least one course for the 2026 summer or fall semester. 
  • Students must bring their personal photo ID. Students are not permitted to utilize the photo ID belonging to another individual. 
  • Reservations can be made for Tuesdays and Wednesdays from noon to 4 p.m.
  • Students have 5 minutes to shop, leaving 5 minutes for check-out.
  • Students receive 10 points for dry goods and an allotted quantity of fruits and veggies. 
  • Our policies ensure access to resources for students in need. Students who do not follow pantry policies have broken their agreement with the CARES Center Food Pantry and are no longer eligible to utilize the CARES Center Food Pantry.
